About the Colts

Since its formation in 1974, Hove Park Colts has grown to be one of the biggest youth football clubs in Brighton & Hove. Now, with 31 teams  affiliated to Sussex County FA, we have 450 players  signed at our thriving community club – and more than a third are girls.

Colts teams range from Under 7 to Under 16, and play in the three biggest local grassroots leagues: Sussex Sunday Youth Football League, Mid Sussex Youth Football League and Sussex County Womens & Girls Football League.

In 2025, Hove Park Colts achieved two star FA Accreditation, with a full female pathway and at least one fully-qualified coach in every team. Fewer than 10% of clubs in Sussex hold this status. The next step will be to go for three star accreditation, by adding Men's and Disability football.
